Abstract
A three-stage recursive estimator for the speed and parameters of an induction machine, using measurements of the stator voltages and currents, is presented. The performance of the estimator is studied by means of simulations and offline experimentation. The results show good performance for steady-state machine operation and the ability to track speed changes, with some degradation during transients
