  • Abstract
There are many existed collaborative frameworks, e.g. Narada, Overcast, Can, which are used in various computer supported work. In this paper we deliver a collaborative application framework based on a specific P2P grid model. This framework is designed to solve the typical problems in the traditional collaborative applications, such as the bottleneck restriction of C/S architecture and the related potential security harassments. Therefore we build a hierarchical model of both grid and P2P networks which correspond to global network and local group respectively in the collaborative application framework. The experiments show that the simulated system using the framework is fast to achieve collaboration status and robust for the network exceptions, and also keeping the whole network load-balance. In conclusion this framework exploits the P2P Grid model to implement efficient, stable and secure collaborative applications.
