Abstract
Summary form only given. In this paper, recent progress on research towards advanced wavelength-division multiplexing components done in the framework of the ACTS program (Photonic domain) will be presented. The paper will mainly focus on key functions such as add-drop multiplexers, tunable lasers/receivers, multi-wavelength sources, and wavelength converters.
