Abstract
In this paper we propose a new stand-alone hardware system that allows to emulate and analyze all the Wolfram\´s rules proposed in the book "A new kind of science". The system that we use to implement all the cellular automata analyzed by Wolfram consists of a led matrix and a board equipped with a micro-controller. This simple low cost system, opportunely programmed, allows everyone to emulate the 256 local rules without a pc and to analyze them, i.e. looking for instance for analogies between the rules.
