Abstract
This paper presents a parameter preserving controller order reduction method applied to HiMAT aircraft. The reduction method, is based on frequency balancing within operational bandwidth of the system. This method is of interest for practical controller reduction for HiMAT because in this context it is important to keep the accuracy of approximation as high as possible without sacrificing the important system properties, like stability and passivity. Numerical results show that the approximation error is reduced
