Abstract
This work presents the study drawn up for the development and implementation of a Security Control Scheme (SCS) in Rio de Janeiro/Espirito Santo electrical system, which has as its main purpose to act in a specific situation, avoiding cascade outages that can result in a collapse, well-known as "blackout", thus preserving a great part of the system. The main focus dealt with refers to SCS associated to the Adrianopolis substation-345 kV bus section, which is of fundamental importance for the energy supply to the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo
