Abstract
In this paper, in order to simulate the time-varying scattering characteristics of ships over sea surface, both the reflection coefficient model for time-evolving sea surfaces and the ship motion dynamics are established and introduced into the multi-path EM scattering calculation. By combining the high-frequency asymptotic techniques for radar targets with the variations in the ship aspects and reflection coefficients of time-evolving sea surfaces, a time-varying radar signature model for ships over sea surface is developed.
