Abstract
This paper describes experiences of European Commission\´s project NEXT-TELL related to using meta-modelling for technology enhanced learning (TEL). Iterative development of online tools based on ADOxx® meta-modeling platform allowed adjusting to feedback received from end users/subject matter experts in terms of functionality and usability. Less than obvious direction of development within NEXT-TELL project was not adding more features supporting teachers, but rather trying to identify least best fit of features needed by teachers while removing "distractions" - both in regards to tool functionality and modeling method applied.
