Abstract
Packet switching technology provides a means to connect all the parts of the power supply industry into an open system. A packetized network integrates various operational functions in the power supply industry. This allows the control and implementation of power generation and power distribution operations in a more organized and reliable manner. New technology and services can be introduced into the infrastructure with minimum disturbance because the packet switching network already provides the structure to accommodate for any future improvement
