Abstract
This paper discusses the advantages of the CORDIC-algorithm in butterfly-operations (FFT) and numerical controlled oscillator (NCO) which are used in many digital transmission systems. The implementation in programmable logic devices is shown by the example of a versatile demodulator for digital terrestrial television.
