Abstract
This paper describes the development of China Light and Power´s power system maintenance management strategies. It specifies long term preventive maintenance (LTPM), routine preventive maintenance (RPM), and special recommendations for distribution equipment which presently comprise 25,000 items of switchgear, 12,500 transformers, etc. In addition, CLP´s experience of using ultrasonic detection as a predictive maintenance measure and implementing RCM to improve maintenance productivity are also discussed
