Abstract
The estimation of allowable beam loading of nonlinear optical crystals can be carried out on energy density of the focused laser radiation it microsecond pulses of radiation. This magnitude should d not exceed 15-20 J/cm2 for KH2PO4 (KDP) crystals. It is necessary to apply crystals of large length that promotes rather high SHG efficiency and long-term operation of system under conditions that are typical for flash lamp pumped (FLP) dye lasers (DL). There the requirements were determined to the main parameter´s of FLP DL radiation that provide effective SHG by use of known nonlinear-optical crystals.
