  • Abstract
Graduate programs in polytechnic universities of Russia allow to train highly qualified engineers, who can design modern hi-tech products. But their competence profile does not include full scale of organizational, marketing and financial issues of startup projects realization. Synergetic combination of both portfolios can create a new type of elite specialist with key competences in turbulent technological and business environment. Entrepreneurial skills together with engineering creativity will allow graduates to compete on the elite segment of highly qualified labor market. The postgraduate module-structured program was developed in the BMSTU and is successfully implied in cooperation with several business schools and venture foundations. Program design is based on the project-oriented approach, when a trainee enters the program with just an idea of hi-tech device or high quality service. At the end of the one-year tuning program engineer leaves university as successful innovation entrepreneur who succeed to launch a startup.
