  • Abstract
Strip loaded surfaces or corrugated surfaces are analyzed using asymptotic boundary conditions referred to as ASBC and ACBC, respectively. A simpler asymptotic boundary condition is used with these surfaces when they satisfy the soft/hard conditions. This asymptotic boundary condition analyzes the soft/hard surface as a periodic surface of perfect electric conducting strips attached to magnetic conducting strips, which is referred to as PEC/PMC boundary conditions. Such a simple model for soft/hard surfaces speeds up the design process and provides the proper object parameters under the ideal soft/hard conditions. After reaching to the designed characteristics, one can implement the actual surface. The PEC/PMC is applied to bodies of revolution objects and some horns with soft transverse corrugations and with hard longitudinal corrugations are considered
