Abstract
Amplitude and phase measurements are important for balancing rotating machinery by means of signal analyzers. The most common methods use fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm to find the vibration spectrum and extract imbalance force parameters. A different solution is proposed here, based on the FFT but requiring less computational power. Additionally, the algorithms needed for implementation on a vibration meter are presented
