  • Abstract
Analytical descriptors of three-dimensional geometry of human organs such as the heart, which have been recently introduced, are described. These are the shape engram and geometrical normogram. The application of the descriptors to the female breast is discussed. Through the experimental selection and utilization of the most congruent analytical descriptor, a new sounding probe, the anatomical shape descriptor, has been defined. Its purpose is to realize the geometrical description of shape and to control biomechanically the weight-dependent surface configurations
