Abstract
The paper deals with an original methodology for functional verification of measurement software. Starting from a previously defined procedure able to generate test cases reproducing the actual correlations among the software inputs, the authors introduce suitable refinements to improve the methodology performance. To this aim, innovative statistical techniques are investigated and integrated in the procedure for providing more accurate estimations of the Spearman coefficients. The effects of the novel steps are evaluated by applying the procedure to a complex software module employed in an automotive system
