  • Abstract
In this paper, a design technique of the array with a single-layer feed circuit is proposed by using the combination of a full-wave method of moments (MoM) analysis and an equivalent circuit. A control of input matching is directly imposed and the effects of slot mutual coupling and wall thickness are taken into full account. Firstly, under the explicit condition of input matching, the admittance and the spacing of slot are specified in the equivalent circuit in the form of power consumption and phase. The excitation disturbed by multiple reflections is taken into account and is compensated. Secondly by applying a full-wave MoM analysis to the finite 2-D array, slot parameters are iteratively determined to realize the active admittance specified above. To confirm the validity of this design technique, the array with 24x27 elements is designed for the uniform illumination and the measurements are carried out at 25.3 GHz.
