Abstract
A modified version of direct torque and flux control (DTFC) technique for induction motor (IM) drive system is proposed. Power conversion through a double-sided PWM converter system, establishes a 4-quadrant operation. Nonlinear control algorithms address the requirements of near sinusoidal line currents, power factor correction, and high performance motor operation. Motor control is sensorless. An intelligent, nonlinear controller has been designed for robust speed control. Simulation results verify control dynamics and operation at zero speed.
