  • Abstract
A set of methods to select phenologically suitable Landsat scenes to perform forest cover change detection has been developed using AVHRR LTDR NDVI (1981-2000), MODIS 5km NDVI (2001-2010) and a metadata archive of globally available Landsat data. The selected imagery are expected to make significant contributions in reducing errors in forest change detection due to the phenological unsuitability.
