Abstract
This paper proposed a modeling method applied to representation of the supply chain process which is prerequisite to supply chain process performance measurement and optimization. This method integrates the grammatical approach with some models that can represent dynamic supply chain process. The design of the modeling method includes four parts: the lexicon, the grammar elements, the graphical symbols and the connection rules of the grammar elements and their graphical symbols. Especially, modeling supply chain process in this way can make it possible to measure performance of supply chain process using standard performance metrics in SCOR (supply chain operations reference) model. An example is illustrated to verify the practicability of the proposed method
