Abstract
Summary form only given. The paper presents the results of investigation of the electron beam effect on the electrophysical and optical properties of poly(phthalidylidenearylene)s. The insulator-metal transition is Known to observe in thin films of these polymers under the action of external influences such as electric field, pressure, temperature. It was suggested in a number of papers, that the transition occurs when the space charge concentration exceeds some value. In the present paper we use electron beam as a source of the charge, which allow direct verifying of our model. We studied insulator-metal transition induced by electron beam and its properties. The results of investigation of luminescence which was discovered in these experiments are discussed. The results obtained are compare with those reported earlier.
