Abstract
Phase advance errors between interaction points (IF) break the symmetry of multi-IP colliders. This symmetry breaking introduces new, lower order resonances which may change the halo from the beam-beam interaction dramatically. In this paper, the mechanism of introducing new resonances is discussed. Simulation results showing the changes due to phase advance errors are presented. Simulation results are compared with experimental measurements at VEPP-2M
