The system approach to knowledge management systems designing and development

Knowledge management system (KMS) is a complex aggregate of organizational and informational means and software for systematic deal with company´s knowledge. One of the approaches to design such system is system analysis. According to this approach designer has to set objectives and define knowledge processing. This paper consider the main stages of knowledge processing such as defining company´s new knowledge requirements, exposure knowledge of organization, building conceptual model of company´s subject area, knowledge description (meta-data), educational courses elaboration for new knowledge mastering, sharing knowledge of company. This paper mainly pays attention to designing structure of KMS. On the basis of suggested approach we are building KMS which will be able to use Internet/Intranet technologies.
