  • Abstract
We are exploring the development of a smart digital home based on wireless sensors. The wireless sensors have more advantages when compared with the wired sensors as they are more flexible, portable, can be used in different places to remote monitor the various activities remotely. They even consume less power depending on their operation. Based on this technology a system has already been developed consisting three wireless sensors; these sensors detect use of electricity when the target appliances are connected to mains supply. But it has been realized that there is a requirement of a few more sensors to make a smart home monitoring system. This paper has reported the development of a bed-sensor which forms one of the sensors of the intelligent home monitoring system.
