Abstract
In this paper, a single-layer tri-band circularly polarized reflectarray prototype is designed, fabricated, and measured. The proposed design is composed of three sub-arrays, which operate in the frequency ranges centered at 7.1 GHz (C-band), 8.4 GHz (X-band), and 32 GHz (Ka-band), respectively. In term of the phase compensation scheme, the varied element size (VES) technique is applied to the C-band, along with the element rotation (ER) technique for both X-band and Ka-band. The measurement result of the prototype demonstrates the viability of the single-layer multi-band concept for reflectarray antenna design.
