  • Abstract
    For the multileaf foil journal bearings, the length and the width of the sheet is much larger than its thickness, we can treat it as a cylindrical thin shell. We can analyse its elastic deformation with moment theory of cylindrical thin shells theory, than use finite element method to get the solution of the equations with appropriate boundary conditions. Compared with the solutions of other methods, the solution is reliable, its accuracy is higher than other methods.
