The analysis of this study is based on the passenger trip cost, and the ecological niche character of convention public buses and urban rail transit are studied. The passenger trip cost function has been formulated and construct the model of urban public transit ecological niche marginal distance (ENMD) base on it. Through the numerical example, the ENMD of convention public buses and urban rail transit has been analysis and meaningful suggestion for the routes set and adjusts of convention public buses have been put forwards.
