Abstract
Weather formations are objects of radar detection, measurement and recognition. Doppler radars are used to obtain necessary information for weather forecasts and aviation safety. One of the most important is information about the turbulence intensity in clouds and precipitation that is contained in spectra of echo-signals. This paper deals with Doppler radar observation of rain. A new method of turbulence intensity retrieval is introduced, discussed and checked using measured data.
