  • Abstract
In order to improve the performance of underwater target surveillance in the areas of marine environment monitoring, time reversal method processing depending on the normal mode model is applied. In order to evaluate this algorithm, lots of numerical simulations in different conditions are implemented and the results could be explained by the normal mode model according to the sound intensity distribution. This method has the advantages of strong monitoring capabilities and it can detect small targets or the objects scattered small echo intensity, meanwhile, it cann´t be affected by the complexity of the shallow water channel and multi-path characteristics. It greatly enhanced the underwater target detection capability and achieved real-time alert in the shallow water.
