Abstract
The concept of microstrip line with short-circuited edge (MSCE) to be used as a high-pass planar filter has been recalled. Numerical electromagnetic simulation of an MSCE with cut-off frequency close to 7.8 GHz has been performed, yielding very satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. The obtained results give better insight into the MSCE operation, confirm the utility of the employed tool in this application and demonstrate practical advantages of MSCE structures as simple high-pass filters.
