Abstract
The standardization of discovery services by EPCglobal is still pending Current. However, a lightweight EPCDS platform is necessary in track & trace information of RFID-tagged products, and, it isn´t easy to develop a full-fledged discovery services in the mid-level companies due to the prototypical developing cost and/or the integrating cost to the EPCglobal Network. In this paper, we will show a simple, scaleable EPCDS platform, called product trace service platform, which is based on the EPCglobal network and object naming service (ONS) specification, and will demonstrate how to construct track & trace services between enterprise applications with ease and relatively low cost.
