Abstract
The use of a truncated pyramidal horn as a "calculable" antenna for the precise generation of known electromagnetic fields is considered for the 915 MHz and 2450 MHz ISM bands. Approaches for the accurate determination of accepted power are considered, particularly one based on power equations. Some elaboration on the power equation based technique is given, and the approximations involved are scrutinized.
