  • Abstract
Tungsten oxide nanostructures have been paid much attention because of their particular physics and chemical properties. But until now, it is difficult to realize patterned growth of tungsten oxide nanowire arrays. In this paper, we demonstrate that tungsten oxide nanowire arrays can be controllably synthesized in patterned arrays at low temperature of 550°C by a simple ceramic template method. The patterned tungsten oxide nanowire arrays have good field emission performance, such as a turn-on field of 1.7MV/m and a threshold field of 2.9MV/m, which suggests that they are promising cathode nanomaterials for application in field emission display.
