  • Abstract
Solar cells produce current when sunlight irradiates. According to the nonlinear output features and principles of solar power generation, three type simulation models offered by the MATLAB/Simulink software package are established in this paper, which is used to study the characteristics of solar cells. The mathematical model in engineering is obtained by comparing with others. According to the simulation model, the I-V features of solar cells can be simulated at any ambient temperature, sunlight intensity and the parameters of the photovoltaic module can be adjusted easily. In this paper, the different output features are researched in the event that the inside parameters, insolation and temperature are changed respectively, and then the general rules of the output features of solar cells are obtained. At last, the usefulness of the models by simulation analysis is verified.
