Abstract
Error performance of trellis coded 8-PSK and 8-DPSK with and without interleavers has been investigated. Significant improvement in error performance is observed when convolutional interleaver is used. The insensitivity of a TCM scheme to the decoding decision depth is also observed for a fading channel
