Abstract
LXI (LAN extensions for instrumentation), which is a new generation automation test system platform based on the mature Ethernet, has become an open-standard in the test and measure fields, and also LXI trigger bus is one key functional attribute for LXI Class A instruments. In accordance with LXI Standard Rev. 1.3, this paper proposes a scheme to design LXI trigger bus module. Adopting M-LVDS electrical interface technology, this scheme has implemented multi-work-modes configuration for eight triggering channels of LXI trigger bus module based on CPLD interior logical design. The design proposal is also verified in this paper. Actual test results indicate that the function of LXI trigger bus has been realized. The whole design lays the foundation for building up LXI trigger bus system.
