  • Abstract
    A new microcontroller based inexpensive, portable, and easy to use heart monitoring system is presented in this paper. This device could be worn by a person while exercising or at any other time. During operation, this device monitors the EKG signals from the heart continuously. This instrument also has the capability to alert the user whenever an abnormal heart rhythm occurs storing the signal simultaneously for the future diagnosis of the problem by a cardiologist
