Abstract
Nowadays one can observe a growing interest in the development of low-cost Ka band phased arrays. The paper deals with multilayered transmission-type Spiraphase antenna arrays based on loaded ring slots. These antenna arrays are built in such a way that the incident circularly polarized wave (CPW) is converted to a transmitted wave traveling in a desired direction. It is shown that the direction of propagation of the transmitted wave can be effectively changed by proper positioning of the loads.
