Abstract
It has been previously demonstrated that the self-similar fractal gap structure of the Sierpinski gasket is not the primary factor contributing to its multi-band behavior. Here, further modifications of the gasket´s gap structure are presented, illustrating that the narrow strips located periodically along the gasket edge primarily define the multi-band behavior of the antenna. In the appropriate frequency band, these narrow strips effectively truncate the surface currents flowing along the edges of the gasket. The gap structure located away from these narrow strips, fractal or otherwise, is not significant in establishing the antenna´s multi-band behavior.
