  • Abstract
The gap between the rotor and the stator of the external circulation piston pump has an important impact on pump efficiency and operation reliability. Shaft and rotor are important parts of the external circulation piston pump. The gap value is determined by the shaft flexural deformation. According to the force of the rotor and shaft, the relevant module of the software ANSYS was applied to give an element numerical analysis on the rotor and shaft of the external circulation piston pump. The deflection of the shaft and rotor was obtained and provided a basis for the selection of gap between rotor and stator considering bearing clearance and machining accuracy. This method is not only with high calculation precision, but also can get deflection of more locations at the same time and reduce the workload.
