  • Abstract
This paper introduces mobile agent technique and push technique and their applications. It analyzes the combining approach for push technique and mobile agent technique. It also discusses a chat system that is implemented with the push technique and mobile agent technique. Normally, there are two ways to get information resources from the Internet. One is the way to search on the Internet by users personally with special software applications that are based on pull approach. Another is the way that "let the networks find out you", which is called push technique. As a most hopeful method for information extracting on the Internet, it used to be paid generous tributes to its future. But it is not used widely for searching information on the Internet as expected because of its congenital deficiency. Mobile agents are the combination of distributed technique and agent technology. Because of its mobility and independence, it can be used for implementing applications based on push technology
