Abstract
We compare S-parameters calculated for selected microstrip components using an electromagnetic simulator and the Advanced Design System (ADS). On this basis, we verify validity of simplified CAD models in the K-band. Significant discrepancies found in the data show that millimeter-wave designs should be carefully examined to avoid costly errors.
