Abstract
The goal of the described project is to design, implement, evaluate and deploy a suite of tools and network-based services that reliably improve productivity of research scientists by providing proactive information technology based support for their problem solving workflows. In the first phase of the project we have focused on workflow support toolset that aids bioinformatics research workflows. The architecture is based on a proactive scientific data analysis model, the latest service delivery methodologies, and the emerging semantic and context-based analysis paradigms. The key is to speed-up, robustify, and render appliance-like information technology related components of the scientific workflows.
