Abstract
A novel 1D Volterra time domain integral equation TDIE algorithm capable of running on unstructured 2D triangular meshes is presented here. This falls in line with recent development of numerical methods to solve volume integral equations in the time domain. Derivation of a flexible and effective numerical tool that can accurately approximate the solution of problems accommodating arbitrarily shaped dielectric structures with complex features and time varying material properties is demonstrated. Simple structures are considered to assess the accuracy and convergence of the approach.
