Abstract
Numerous empirical/statistical methods are currently available for the prediction of the VHF/UHF field strength in mobile radio applications. The attenuation at 900 MHz due to a large building nearby a base station is investigated. Analysis using a wavefield extrapolation method on multiple knife edge diffraction were performed. Experimental data are presented and analysed. The results show that the observed attenuation is less than the single knife-edge diffraction attenuation
