Abstract
Use of chaotic sequences as spreading sequences for spread spectrum communications is being widely studied. This paper proposes a benchmarking scheme to judge how well a chaotic sequence satisfies the requirements of a spreading sequence, allowing comparison of various sequences proposed so far. Security analysis of chaotic spreading sequences (using Mackey-Glass DDE) is done, and it is demonstrated that the security afforded by the chaotic spreading sequences is proportional to the complexity of the chaotic attractor generating the sequence
