Abstract
The parallel grooved multi-layer drum is regarded as the research object in this paper. The parametric design system is developed for the parallel grooved multi-layer drum to realize the parametric design of 3D model. Based on the research of the load characteristics of parallel grooved multi-layer drum, the model designed by the parametric generation system is imported into ANSYS Workbench to simulate the structure model in the absence of the simplified conditions. Simulation results indicate that the size of the drums thickness obtained by the traditional design method is oversized while there exits certain space to optimize in the drum structure. In addition, this method provides a reference for the structure optimization and lightweight design of parallel grooved multi-layer drum.
