Abstract
According to special demand of energy control for the routing of wireless sensor networks and balancing the energy of nodes, this paper proposes multipath routing based on ant colony system (MACS). The algorithm utilizes the self-organization, self-adaptability and dynamic optimization capabilities of the ant colony to find the optimal routing and suboptimal routing from Sources to the Sink in order to prolong lifetime of the whole networks. The simulation results show that the algorithm is more effective and available than Directed Diffusion (DD) Routing, ACS and Max-Min ant system (MMAS) in routing cost and energy dissipation.
