Abstract
We designed various microwave transmission lines incorporating bi-layered ferromagnetic/piezoelectric composite materials in order to achieve a voltage-driven permeability variation to make tunable a microwave function. We used a FEM-based environment to optimize the coupling between the electrostatic field and mechanical constraints applied to the magnetic layer. This study enabled us to define optimized microwave structures where the integration of the composite material was compatible with a strong wave/composite interaction and low insertion losses
